Charles studied Theology at Reformed Theological College and furthered his education at Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon. He earned his Doctorate at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charles is the founder and president of Africa New Life Ministries. This faith-based organization transforms lives in Rwanda through educational sponsorship, Youth and women empowerment, health care initiatives, leadership training, food distribution, and other significant areas contributing to the sustainable development of Rwanda. Currently operating in different provinces and districts of Rwanda, specifically in 10 communities. Africa New Life supports over 11,000 children and over 10,000 families. Africa New Life Ministries constructed and manages a fully accredited University- the Africa College of Theology (ACT), where Pastors train in the best leadership practices. Africa New Life built the Dream Medical Center Hospital, a 60-bed hospital serving over 6,000 patients per month. The hospital provides three operating theatres, rehabilitative care, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, dental services, orthopedics, diagnostic services, and other medical care services. Coupled with this hospital is the community nursing care program that provides care to the sponsored children in our communities. Africa New Life builds Christian churches in communities and assists the community in development. We spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ with thousands of people gathering every week in our multi-purpose hall, and as a result, we have been able to inspire positive change in the lives of Rwandans; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

What is the ministry challenge keeping you up at night?

Many individuals have been attending church for an extended period, yet they do not display the qualities of true disciples. This begs the question what are we currently doing wrong? How can we fix it as church leaders?

What is the greatest hope for God’s work in 2023 you’re dreaming about?

My dream is to create a devoted network of disciples who make other disciples. Also want a full recovery from covid of our child sponsorship restored with an endless supply of sponsored students on their journey to achieve their dreams.

What is a non-ministry activity that brings you joy and energy?

Spending time with adult Children.

What are the top 1-3 essentials for the Church in America to address to reach those who are spiritually open, but not yet following Jesus?
