EJ Bast
EJ is a Dean of a K-12 innovation campus. He has also worked in higher ed, serving college campuses in Southwest Michigan. He leads collaborative teams around creative education pathways that support traditional classroom design as well as experiential learning. He is also a licensed therapist as part of Cornerstone Christian Counseling, bringing hope and healing to clients weekly. EJ is passionate about helping people understand their identity in Christ and how they can know that in Jesus. He lives in Michigan with his wife Eliza, two boys, and their dog Rocky.

What is the ministry challenge keeping you up at night?

Christians not sharing the gospel.

What is the greatest hope for God’s work in 2023 you’re dreaming about?

More and more believers (including me) submitting every area of their lives to the Lord; and seeking His will for them ahead of their own desires.

What is a non-ministry activity that brings you joy and energy?

Spending quality time with my wife, kids, family and close friends. Having free and/or alone time that is not scheduled with a ton of activities.

What are the top 1-3 essentials for the Church in America to address to reach those who are spiritually open, but not yet following Jesus?

1. Biblical literacy and identity. 2. Knowing how to disciple someone or be discipled (skills). 3. Spiritual warfare - what to expect and how to address it.
