House of Worship Christian Church
Christian Allan
Over the last 18 years, a deep love for Jesus has driven Chris to share the gospel around the world.  Christian presents the love of Jesus in such a passionate way that it has opened doors for Him to minister in over 40 countries.   Christian's passion for ministry is evident as he paints an image of the Father's love for humanity.  Christian balances this global ministry while remaining Lead Pastor of House of Worship (HOW) in Garfield, NJ.  HOW is a vibrant, multicultural church that began in 2008 and has been increasingly influential in the region. Christian has infused his heart for Missions into HOW, and together they continue to make a significant impact planting churches worldwide.

What is the ministry challenge keeping you up at night?

My desire is to see the modern church return to the original design that Jesus established for His church. I feel a great responsibility to challenge the current system, and I often struggle with challenging the modern church mentality within myself. I pray every day that I am building His version of the church and not my own.

What is the greatest hope for God’s work in 2023 you’re dreaming about?

My greatest hope for God’s work in the near future is to see a generation of people rise up who first, love the Father, secondly worship Him in spirit and in truth, and third, who seek to be ambassadors of His kingdom here on earth. I would love to see a generation of believers focusing on discipling others by being the church, instead of simply inviting people to church. A generation of Christians who know biblical Christianity and aren’t changing their views because of the culture we live in.

What is a non-ministry activity that brings you joy and energy?

Cross fit, fishing, jazz

What are the top 1-3 essentials for the Church in America to address to reach those who are spiritually open, but not yet following Jesus?

I believe that America in 2024 is no longer a culturally Christian country, so we must expand our evangelicalism to include the Genesis story. We as the church, with the prompting of the Holy Spirit, need to show the power of the gospel through our lives as Christians, the gifts of the spirit and also sound biblical teaching that answer this generations biggest questions.
