His retail career began with his parents, who founded Hobby Lobby in their home. They now have over 1000 stores in 48 states. Mart is the Board Chair of the Come and See Foundation, whose goal is to increase the impact of The Chosen by expanding its reach to the largest 600 languages in the world. He is also a leading champion of illumiNations, an alliance of Bible Translation partners, working to eradicate Bible poverty by 2033.
